PEA is naturally produced by the human body and is a "neuro-amplifier", which increases the actions of Dopamine (for motivation and drive), Norepinephrine (for wakefulness and higher performance), Acetylcholine (for improved memory and neural activity), and Serotonin (for improved mood and impulse control). PEA has unique and rapid uplifting effects on mood, mental activity, attention, motivation, alertness, creativity, awareness, energy, stamina, physical activity, pleasurable feelings, sexuality, and sensory perceptions.
PQQ (Pyrroloquinoline Quinone) reverses aspects of cellular aging by protecting mitochondria (the powerhouses of your cells) from oxidative damage and activating genes that induce the growth of fresh mitochondria. A double-blind, placebo-controlled human clinical trial found that 20 mg of oral PQQ daily improved short-term memory, attention/concentration, information identification, and processing ability in healthy adults. PQQ has been shown to optimize the health and function of the entire central nervous system, improving energy levels, memory and higher cognitive function. Mitochondrial health is critical to cognitive function, because Acetylcholine, a key neurotransmitter that is essential to learning and memory formation, is primarily synthesized in the mitochondria and nerve cells in the brain require especially high numbers of healthy mitochondria to power the brain's massive energy needs. PQQ is also a neuroprotective and cardioprotective compound.
L-Theanine has been shown in double-blind, placebo-controlled human trials to reduce stress levels, promote relaxation, boost mood, increase mental attention, alertness and cognition, increase alpha wave activity in the brain (which is associated with relaxed mental states) and increase theta wave activity in the brain (which is associated with improved learning and memory). L-Theanine increases GABA, Serotonin and Dopamine levels in the brain, as well as boosting Brain-Derived Neurotrophic Factor (BDNF) and Nerve Growth Factor (NGF), which encourage the growth of new neurons and synapses and the repair of existing neurons, synapses and myelin, increasing neuroplasticity and learning. L-Theanine is also an antagonist of NMDA receptors which inhibits the release of glutamate, protecting your brain from over-stimulation.
N-Acetyl L-Tyrosine is potent and bioavailable form of the amino acid L-Tyrosine, which is the key precursor to Dopamine and Norepinephrine and a key precursor to Coenzyme Q10 (which is critical for mitochondrial health). N-Acetyl L-Tyrosine has been shown in double-blind human trials to support peak performance by reducing stress, supporting positive mood and motivation and promoting focus and mental clarity. L-Tyrosine is critical to a number of bodily functions, including cognitive processes, building muscles and cell growth and recovery.
Shilajit translates as the “Conqueror of Mountains” & “Destroyer of Weakness”. Shilajit is a mineral tar, found predominantly in the Himalaya and Tibet mountains, that is prized in Ayurvedic medicine for its profound adaptogenic and antioxidant effects on the body and mind. Shilajit improves cellular energy production (increasing energy and improving stamina), improves memory and mood and sharpens cognitive functions. Shilajit’s antioxidant activity protects your mitochondria against cellular damage, slowing the aging process in your neurons and muscle tissue.
Ashwagandha translates as the “Smell of a Horse” indicating that the herb confers the strength of a stallion. Ashwagandha is a powerful Ayurvedic herb that promotes physical and mental health by reducing stress and anxiety, boosting levels of BDNF, regenerating axons and dendrites, reconstructing synapses, increasing myelin levels in the nervous system, improving cognitive and brain function, improving learning, memory and reaction time, enhancing immune system functions, and maintaining healthy lipid and glucose metabolism. Research from the Asha Hospital in Hyderabad found, in a study of 64 people with chronic stress, that Ashwagandha supplementation for two months decreased stress by 44% and decreased depression and/or anxiety by 72%. Shilajit and Ashwagandha are highly synergistic and are significantly more potent when taken in combination.
Noopept is one of the strongest nootropics available, estimated to be 1,000 to 5,000 times more potent than Piracetam. It provides a profound boost to overall cognition and has neuroprotective properties. Noopept targets Glutamate receptor sites, where it inhibits the breakdown of Glutamate and increases the sensitivity of the Glutamate receptors. Noopept enhances memory, by assisting with memory formation, memory consolidation and memory retrieval, and improves the learning process. Noopept facilitates the proper management of all forms of stimuli as they are processed by the brain. Noopept also increases levels of NGF (Nerve Growth Factor) and BDNF (Brain-Derived Neurotrophic Factor), which increase neuroplasticity and learning and improve the performance of the neural networks of the brain and memory.
CDP Choline (Citicoline)
CDP Choline (Citicoline) is a powerful nootropic that has been shown in double-blind human trials to enhance memory, heighten focus, and increase mental energy and clarity. CDP Choline (Citicoline) metabolizes into both Choline and Uridine (which increases neuroplasticity, memory formation and boosts mood), making it the most effective Choline supplement for cognitive enhancement. CDP Choline (Citicoline) significantly increases the rate of choline synthesis (increasing levels of Acetylcholine in the brain), replenishes depleted levels of phospholipids and works synergistically with other nootropics to powerfully potentiate their effects. CDP Choline (Citicoline) (through Uridine) increases Dopamine receptor densities and encourages Dopamine release.
Sulbutiamine is a synthetic version of Thiamine (Vitamin B1) that is created by combining two Thiamine molecules. Sulbutiamine crosses the blood-brain barrier much more easily than Thiamine. Sulbutiamine has profound nootropic effects, resulting in marked improvements in memory, increased alertness and energy levels, improved mood and reduced anxiety.
Phosphatidylserine supplementation has been shown in human trials to significantly increase memory recognition, memory recall, executive functions and mental flexibility. Following supplementation total learning and immediate recall improve significantly. Phosphatidylserine is a phospholipid that contains both amino acids and fatty acids and is essential for healthy nerve cell membranes and myelin. Phosphatidylserine supports positive mood, improves cognitive function and athletic performance by increasing aerobic endurance. Phosphatidylserine helps maintain brain cell membrane fluidity, helps optimize neuroreceptors, boosts Acetylcholine and Dopamine levels and serves as a phosphatidyl donor for phosphatidylcholine synthesis, when combined with CDP Choline (Citicoline).
Methylcobalamin is a highly bioavailable form of Vitamin B-12, which promotes healthy levels of energy production, maintains brain health, vitality, and enhanced mood. Vitamin B-12 is involved in the metabolism of every cell in the human body, is a cofactor in the synthesis of Dopamine, GABA, Norepinephrine and Serotonin, and plays a key role in the generation and function of myelin.
Bioperine is an extract from black pepper, which has been shown to enhance the bioavailability and absorption of the other ingredients.
